Following on from the considered choices of Cascine, Sports Day Records & Art Is Hard Records, Johan Alm of the uber special Anglo-Swedish label PNKSLM has done us the great service of providing his favourite LPs and tracks of 2016.

"2016’s been a weird year for sure, with a lot of great music being released, but compared to previous years it’s been a lot harder to pick when it comes to AOTY. My listening habits have been kind of all over the place as well, jumping from garage rock to hip-hop to electronic to indie every few days, with finally getting into jazz being a highlight. Anyway, these are the records and tracks that have soundtracked my year the most (excluding our own releases of course, which have dominated the stereo – as should be expected), with a lot of great music not making it onto these lists either – I could easily go way beyond picking five. It’s a great time to be a listener now, the main issue being how to find the time to listen to everything you want – my to-listen list from 2016 is still way longer than the one with albums I’ve heard..."
